OK just a quick journal - for the new Year I am planning a sort of ‘scavenger hunt’ type contest so I’m generally looking for a show of hands of people who might participate or those who might offer donations of prizes and the like cause I want this to be pretty big

Generally the idea will involve taking a part of several images and adding a clue with them to find the said image - the winner is the first to find all the relevant images. (or something like that!)

I will be doing a small test run of this before i sent the actual contest up its still all in the planning stages now and I don’t want to swamp folks here with another contest this side of Christmas cause I know you are all like me manically busy1

So let me know if you might want to participate or if you can offer some prizes!

prizes in turn can be pretty much anything!
Icons, stamps, journal features, custom art, subscriptions, prints, custom literature templates etc… anything and everything is most welcome!

firstly I want to say a huge all be it belated happy birthday to my dear friend =Jazzman1989 his birthday was on the 3rd of December I wanted t wish him well on the day but something really got in the way thus the belated greeting and better late than never
Either way go on stop by and show him some DA love

secondly.. The reason I was conspicuously absent yesterday and the majority of today and not flooding all your inboxes is because I had a fun little hospital appointment for a bit of day case surgery got left waiting for 4 and a half hours before they remembered I was there because the theatre nurses were looking for me to cart me off for a date with a scalpel so arrival at 7:30am I finally get seen at 12:30 ish fun stuff I’m just glad I took a supply of books (5 in total and I read three of those!)
Either way I now for a couple of days I get to feel a right pillock with surgical tape stuck across my upper lip like some strange moustache anyone got a paper bag i can cut lil holes in ?

That all out of the way I so need an early night

looks like the contest has been dumped on me.

Sorry to say this is a bit of a cop out did the contest only get remembered when decided just to submit the prizes as general deviations? No matter I can update and hopefully fix this some

I’m also Sorry to be mean but the Simple message behind this, don’t host contests if you can’t handle it.

sadly this means any prizes of 'digital certificates' and 'subscriptions' will not be included as all i promised prize-wise were features and gift art i am keeping my word. unlike other people.

I will go back and re-allocate the art prizes intended for categories to each deviant who did win something - I’m just sorry that they’re already submitted ( 2 days before I found out the contest had been aborted and that I would have to fathom the mess out) as such instead of being shiny and new.

Really! its true! I have had a couple of emails saying that I have stolen artwork in my gallery…

I didn’t even know it myself.

Heaven forbid that i can be a member of two art community sites and have the same username on both - yes thats the same username

Clearly because my work is uploaded by me in two places I have stolen my own work - and i think on that note we can tell why i am a teeny bit PISSED OFF!!!
