The heart-makers sketches... by rockgem The heart-makers sketches... by rockgem
bit of a blast from the past with this image - most the components i actually pilfered from some of my older winged hearts works - this one i wanted to make look sketchy or like a bit of a blueprint although it ended up in black and white as i really didn't like how it looked in blue.

inspired by =monsterkookies work

I love how it looks more like a sketch - it was a great idea.

very wonderful, but it seems to bring out a feeling of nostalgia, even a bit listless, or perhaps regretful

it reminds me of a scene in one of William Gibson's books about a powerful intelligent computer that was stripped bare and left floating in space, surrounded by all sorts of objects, which it used to create beautiful glass covered boxes containing various objects that always seemed to make everyone who saw them feel sad or lonely or nostalgic...

thankyou for the compliment :aww: i did try it more blue like a blueprint but it lost a lot of the sketchy lines and when i tried it more a sepia tone so it looked like more aged paper it didn't work either so it ended up all in black and white,
it does seem sad or regretful, in a way i guess it is if the idea is you have to make hearts rather than have someone metaphorically give you theirs :giggle:

that sounds a really interesting book and scene - whats the name of it i might see if i can snag a copy for my kindle and have a read it sounds quite wonderful

well, its really the third in a series of books, the actual book is "Mona Lisa Overdrive" which is the third in the series... the first is "Neuromancer" and the second is "Count Zero"... I have them in PDF format, which can be read on Kindle, but sometimes doesn't look too great, but there is a program called Calibre you can use to convert PDFs to Kindle format that a friend uses, and he said it works great. Calibre is free and can be downloaded here: [link]

Let me know if you want to try converting the PDFs and note me your email address and I'll send them
