Literature Text

This was never a fair fight.
You commanded an arsenal;
Any weapon of choice at your disposal,
I remained unarmed-- except for wit,
And used that alone to cut you down-
Before you could fire a single shot.

as yes can i ever relate to this one.   'that quick wit that i am known for can be so entertaining and hysterically funny ( so they tell me)  and a comfort to friends when someone has pissed them off and they need to borrow an insult (I'm your girl!) But when I feel betrayed or angry, that wit can turn into the most hurtful & vicious weapon.  All I have to do is open my mouth, and sometimes i know i go too far but just cant stop myself.   Then i feel like a shit because its like picking on a re-tard.  sigh.
Anyway,  your writing is wonderful...deep,  and comes from a place within that most people today have forgotten the way in or  that it even exists within themselves at all.  I find that a bit sad..they dont know what they are missing.
