thankyou for the compliment - i kind of like this one because there is an image there but at the same time its almost abstract and sometimes it takes a second glance to spot the figure in there

thanks for the compliment Ross - good to see you lurking again, this was one of my first experiments playing more so with textures rather than just the shapes in my fractal manipulations, either way its been the start of an interesting turning point in developing my work.

Exciting! I'm actually not lurking--I've been active regularly for months now (ever since I joined the backroom at #CRLiterature). I just have a constant 5k of inbox to deal with, so I hit up a bunch of your work in a row.

crikey! your inbox sounds like an unofficial level of hell there or something :faint:
you're probably relieved I'm uploading a bit less these days haha!

Well this week I've been pruning really hard. It's below 4k for the first time in over a year. People post way too many journals.

that is a crazy amount, i keep trying to cut back but then i find interesting new art and artists through the miscellaneous groups i've ended up involved with or in a couple of cases thrust upon me  - apologies for adding to your 4K of inbox clutter but I'm on a resources kick at present and i have a backlog of images some from last August :faint:

Oh, I don't mind you. I normally speed through your stock and macro-type shots without spending much attention, saving that attention for your fractals/fractal manips (which never cease to delight me) and poetry.

long as something delights you from amongst the stock and other randomness then I'm doing something right haha! my manips have been on the back burner (along with anything written) for a little while due to me being a terrible shutter-bug and visiting far too many interesting places, have some lovely snowy cemetery pics to get edited up - and some great shots of Whitby Abbey that need finishing up although at this rate i shall be going back for the November Goth weekend and still not edited the photos from the May one :faint:

thankyou :aww: this was me readdressing the love of textures and shapes some i think this with my figures and such is really what lead to my more recent pieces like the 'mechanical angel' and 'forget-me-not' ones

 basically the colour scheme came from watching the sunset right at the horizon i had this peachy gold colour that turned into these wonderful blue greys and then the full dark so i tried to put a little of that in this piece.
