thankyou for the compliment - and yes all this series of photographs are of ornamental cabbages, basically the weather in November was quite rotten and we were going to the cemetery to take some flowers to my grandfathers plot, now due to the bad weather most of the flowers were being broken really easily - then by chance we saw these so took a large bouquet of these ornamental cabbages and lilies :giggle: my grandmother when she saw them laughed and said ' well your grandfather did like bubble and squeak ( a dish made with cabbage and mashed potatoes)

havent heard of that and when you said ornamental cabbage in the description i had thought like decoration cabbages, like perhaps ceramic or paper mache or something, they come as flowers too? really? didnt know that, how cool :iconhellokittybounceplz:

:giggle: nope they are called ornamental cabbages more so because they look pretty and can be used more so in flower arrangements etc than eating and yes they are real plants not just plastic ones :giggle:
