Ok this is my tattoo - completed or the ivy part at least I designed this myself and the original design can be found here. [link] It extends from my left hip up and round my side to just below my left shoulder The outline took a 2 hour sitting and the colours took another 3 hours
Edit: another 3 hour sitting is booked for the 15th July to extend the ivy leaves down along the thigh and add some orange butterflies
why ivy? its my Celtic moonsign (along with the butterfly that is)
The tattoo artist thats put this design onto my skin is a talented bloke Lee Pound at One shot Charlies in Stourbridge
thankyou i've had a bit more work done since i took this shot - but still a long way to go until i get it finished - cause the ivy is going to sort of act as a part frame for a back piece because it winds round my sides (both now) and finishes just below my shoulders
thankyou - its been extended a little more since then and the same pattern is repeated on my other side now. to be fair the tattooist had done a lot of custom pieces for friends thus i asked him to tackle all the ivy i wanted - hes probably sick of green ink now haha
lol!!!it must have been a bit difficult to extend the same pattern on the opposite side,i have a few tatoo artist friends and they say its hard to get a mirror image of anything over the curvature of the body!poor guy is probably tired of ivy!!!!lol!!!good stuff!!!
i just printed the same outline off in a mirror image - its not exactly the same but its as close as we were gonna get it, besides the human body isn't symmetrical so ti get it exact would be near impossible
we are hot
