These ones customized with ribbon and little skulls
The skulls were made using toggles and black beads with black acrylic used for the detals of the nose and teeth :giggle:

:giggle: creepy and cute works - my orders of more bits to make more of these came in the post this morning - so tomorrow once i've organized/sorted out the spare room/my workspace i shall try making some more of these little cute skulls be they on chopsticks or hair clips :giggle:

Cool. And I'm just gonna throw out a tip for you that I'm not sure if you already knew- If the hair clips are metal, don't use hot glue. Try something like super glue. =)

:giggle: yup cause the metal conducts the heat - i found out that the hard way a few years back - now if i have to use hot glue on metal i hold said metal with pliers!

Yea I tried making pins with the pin and felt and hot glue and I couldn't get them to stay together. :P

i think maybe it all depends on the kind of pin you use i used hot glue gun glue for my steampunk pins and they stayed together well & for several other odds and ends - i have no idea ;shrug: sometimes it works other times it fails so epically you just have to give up and start over
