finally got these little doodles right - well ok i had the doodles right i just had no ways or means of finishing them off as my graphics tablet decided it didn't want to play any more either way thank goodness the lines were done and i didn't have to refine any or try shade these you have no idea how hellish cleaning up a basic line or two was with just a mouse!
one for my left shoulder-blade one for my right yup i'm getting gargoyles tattooed and i've booked my sittings with a local artist
first sitting booked for 1st Dec second sitting booked for 26th Jan
a couple of photos of the finished pieces
figure reference taken from a few different places - one being a really old book my dad got me from a junk shop titled 'the complete drawing book' the other two are 'anatomy for the artist' and an 'illustrators reference manual' the rest ( horns wings tail etc ) is pretty much artistic imagination
thankyou for the compliment - and you and me both can't wait to see how it looks finished on my skin first sitting is on the 1st December - so hopefully will get a good chunk of it done and the second sitting is booked for near the end of january ( with a possible third sitting if needed in feb)
thanks for asking the outline is done now and nearly healed over properly - i shall snag a WIP shot soon as it were and looking fowards to getting the shading finished then from there on in i have to finish off a design for the middle of the archway and starting work on an idea for my upper back
lol yup i know that one gargoyles are the water spout ones me and the tattoo artist had this debate - but as most folks don't know the difference anyways its easier to say 'gargoyle' than 'grotesque'
