For those who fell... II

Remembrance Sunday  is almost on us and  armistice day  ( 11th November)  and in turn of course the poppy appeal  by the Royal British Legion that works raising money to support those who have served in the armed forces, those injured and the families of those who went to war and never came home.

I took this photo earlier in the year and was saving it for all this time. Please ignore the data that is given for some reason the camera I had kept resetting itself with the time and date etc.
The photo was taken at a memorial in Kidderminster. As you can see if you look closely at the writing on some of the poppy crosses some are in remembrance of those lost in recent conflicts as well
This image is  about remembering those who were lost in war but I hasten to add  a quote often use by the people from the poppy appeal

‘remember the dead but don’t forget the living’

At the time this image was taken the poppies had faded quite a bit - so I decided to desaturate all the other colours in the image to make them stand out.
