:giggle: mister sparrow is probably still wondering where all the rum has gone.. though i think this ship is a little less pirate and a tad more viking :giggle: though not sure why :o

thankyou so much for the compliment - it surprised me as well as to how well all the parts came together

:wow:... very nice work :D! Makes me want to listen to some Ahab ("nautical funeral doom metal", according to the inlay ;))... so I think I will :D. It captures the mood of a rough, stormy sea very nicely, and both kraken and boat look great. I also really like the sense of depth given by the drop-off of colour towards the bottom and just a few bubbles here and there. Great stuff! :D

:giggle: enjoy the nautical metal :headbang:
thankyou so much for the compliments on this piece - i added the fade to black with the waves as it gave a better link between the top of the picture and the bottom of it without over hindering the detail of the kraken emerging from the depths without it it overall simply looked more like a mish-mash of three separate pieces rather than a blending of them
i think all the parts were made in apophysis aside from a few details - mainly the bubbles some of the suckers on the tentacles and the krakens eyes
