So I know its July but I was thinking about significant moments in a year
This one stood out to me
Remembrance day - the 11th of November
At 11 ‘o’ clock a silence is observed to remember those who fought both great wars

The day is also known as ‘ Poppy day’ [link]

And as to why a poppy [link]

And he royal British legion poppy appeal [link]

Guess that’s the thought behind this piece of work
I created it now because I find in England you don’t get poppies blooming in November i also chose a slightly raged poppy on purpose

its about a moment out of your life to stand and observe a silence for all those who fought and who died

‘They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, not the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.’

Yet sadly enough there are often so many people who do not take the moment and observe the silence
Too busy with the present than to remember the past and how important that was
